How many credible cases of UFO Sightings?

I mean compare apples with apples...

It is very difficult, when you don't ask for any ID, to know how common voter fraud is. I mean if you don't actually check for it, then you really have no idea how much is happening.

I seriously don't understand why asking for ID is so bad. I really think the hand is being over played when it is made to seem like this is racist.

I was in LA a few months ago, and I needed to show ID to get into City hall. Is that racist? I mean there are a lot of things a person might be required to go to city hall for. Even the poor might have to apply for something and so on.

In theory, it's not a bad idea to ask for ID in order to vote -- in theory.

In practice, you end up disenfranchising millions of voters who for some reason or another are not able to get IDs. Like one lady who had been voting for 48 years and suddenly finds herself ineligible to vote because she needs a birth certificate that she never had and it would cost her an insurmountable $200 to get one. In practice, it ends up being a poll tax which was long ago found illegal. And the people you end up disenfranchising just happen to largely vote for Democrats, which explains why Republicans are so interested in doing it. If Republicans have to disenfranchise millions of voters in order to get elected, that means their ideas suck.

Never in 48 years needed any picture ID? Sorry, I don't believe it. However, lets say that anyone in the situation where they can't afford to have ANY picture ID can not only get it paid for by the state, but they can be picked up and dropped off.

You think it will be millions of people. I think it would be a tiny fraction of that.

It is in the state and local governments best interest (to know about them, and to make sure they are part of any count, or census that takes place) to have these millions of people identified and helped.

I mean, they can't get any government help without some kind of identification.

Let us agree that not asking for ID at the voting booth makes it much easier to commit voter fraud.

If democrats need to have it easy to commit voter fraud in order to get elected, their ideas must suck.

Why not? Most women her age were housewives, so never got a job, and never learned to drive, so never needed a driver's license.

However, lets say that anyone in the situation where they can't afford to have ANY picture ID can not only get it paid for by the state, but they can be picked up and dropped off.

If the state is willing to pay for it. So far, none are that I've seen.

You think it will be millions of people. I think it would be a tiny fraction of that.

Even if it is only a tiny fraction, it's still illegal to effectively institute a poll tax.

It is in the state and local governments best interest (to know about them, and to make sure they are part of any count, or census that takes place) to have these millions of people identified and helped.

Yes, but not in the Republican party's best interests.

There's absolutely no proof that Democrats commit voter fraud or that it's necessary for them to get elected. All you say is "they just haven't been caught yet" or some nonsense like that. Tell you what, you find me any evidence that voter fraud is rampant and I will concede that asking for voter ID is necessary. As it stands, this is a purely political and cynical move by the Republican party to disenfranchise millions of voters so that they will be able to win more elections. Try to deny it all you want, but Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Mike Turzai admitted that that's all it was for.
